Holland Hammered Trophy Long Horn Steer Buckle All Sterling

Solid sterling longhorn steer buckle, rope edge, hand hammered. Made by the famous Holland's Jewelry in Texas. Most of the steel dies were cut between 1936 and 1941 and most, like this one, are still in use. Chase Holland's buckles have always been die struck, not cast. Die striking produces a much harder, more dense finished piece, allowing the metal to be polished to an exceptionally high finish, and able to maintain the original shape. 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" and for a 1 1/2" belt. Brand new, mint condition.
